System Configuration
The system configuration defines a name for the NID, and (optionally) a Device Description.
The system configuration can be defined via the CLI or the Web interface.

The system information can be alphabetic, numeric or a combination. See “

1.
Set the x6010 DIP switches and jumpers for your environment. See “
Jumper Settings
” and “
DIP

2.
Access the NID through either a USB connection (see
“Starting a USB Session”
) or a Telnet session
(see
“Starting a Telnet Session”
).
3.
Type
set system name
=NAME, where NAME is the new system name, and press
Enter
.
For example:
AgentIII C1|S5|L1D>
set system name=C6010-3040
4.
Verify the new system definition. Type
show card info
and press
Enter
. For example:

show card info

command does not function for a Power Supply module
