Transmitting a Document Using Memory TX
Memory TX lets the machine scan the contents of the document to be transmitted at high speed
into its built-in memory and transmit it to the other party. (The procedure in which you directly
transmit the document without using memory is called “Direct Transmission”)

Check that the message display is shown Fax screen.
If not, press the Copy/Fax key to dsiplay the fax screen.

Press the Memory TX key.

If Memory TX indicator lights up,Memory TX function is selected, otherwise the Direct
Transmission is selected.

This function is used to set the TX mode of the machine, two options are available.
Note: In Memory Transmission Mode, you can retrieve your original document
sooner than you can do in ADF TX (Direct Transmission) Mode.

Make the necessary settings other than Memory TX, load the document, and then dial the
other party.
Note: If the memory becomes full while scanning a fax, the message
“MEM.FULL/TX CANCEL is displayed in the Fax mode. If you are in the Copy
mode, a “Fax:Err” is displayed.
If you would like to transmit the portion of the document stored in memory, press
the "Start" key to perform transmission. The machine transmits the portion of the
document which is stored in memory.
If you want to delete the portion of the document, which was stored in memory,
press the "Yes" key to select CANCEL. This deletes the contents of the document.
If you fail to make a choice within 1 minute after the MEM.FULL/TX CANCEL
is displayed, the contents of the document are automatically deleted.

Description
Memory TX
When set in this mode, documents are scanned into
memory for transmission and dialing starts after the
first page is scanned (Quick TX).
ADF TX (Direct
Transmission)
When set in this mode, documents are scanned for
transmission after connection has been made to the
receiving unit. (When the available memory is
insufficient, please select ADF TX for a successful
transmission)
If line is not available, the message “LINE IS BUSY” is
displayed. Redial attempts and intervals that were
preset will be done.
