Attempt to fly the aircraft and keep the wings level through the
approach and landing until the aircraft comes to rest. Exit the aircraft
and remain clear until assured there is
no possibility of fire.
WARNING
Because the trim tabs and flaps are electrically
operated, they will become inoperative after the
master switches are turned OFF
WARNING
Do not unlatch or open the cabin door in flight
SYSTEMS EMERGENCIES
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEMS
The potential for electrical problems can be reduced by systematic
monitoring of the voltmeter and ammeter readings on the MFD. The
onset of most electrical problems is indicated by abnormal readings
from any or all of these gauges. The dual ammeter, which is presented
on vertical bar gauges, measures the condition of the alternator output
while the voltmeter indicates the condition of the airplane’s electrical
system on a bar graph on the MFD System page.
The MFD System page shows bus voltage, as well as alternator current
on bar graphs with a boundary around the group marked “electrical”.
CIRCUIT BREAKERS AND FUSES
A small number of circuit breakers are located on the instrument panel;
a bank of fuses located in the copilot footwell provides most of the
circuit protection. These fuses are not accessible in flight, as the pilot’s
primary responsibility is to fly the plane. If a fuse has opened in flight,
there is little chance that replacing the fuse will provide a reliable
system. It is best to accept the failure and terminate or continue the
flight as appropriate.
There is an inline fuse near the auxiliary battery behind the battery
compartment for the AUX electrical system. Another inline fuse over
the main batteries protects the baggage compartment and tailcone light
circuits. Finally, there are a few in-line fuses which protect the sensor
