AEC-VS – Actuator Extension Component Variable Speed
Extension Module for Frequency Inverters
4.3.1
For Your Safety
•
When using the module to provide speed feedback for a frequency-controlled fan, it must
be ensured that values cannot exceed or drop below the selected measurement range.
Check the parameter settings!
•
For motors with 0/4 - 20 mA position preset, the position feedback must be independent
of and non-interacting with the preset.
•
When using a frequency controlled fan, the actual speed of the fan must be used as feed-
back - either by connecting the speed sensor directly to the AEC-VS or by interconnecting
a converter to 4 ... 20 mA
•
A 4 ... 20 mA feedback signal that comes directly from the FI or a signal that
does not
directly represent the fan speed is invalid must not be processed.
•
The digital input 1 and the digital output of the AEC-VS
must not
be used for safety-rele-
vant functions.
DANGER!
Warning! Risk of short circuit and electric shock!
Incorrect wiring can lead to a short circuit and irreversible damage to the connected equipment
or may cause an electric shock.
For connections with SELV, always ensure a
safe isolation
from the supply voltage in the
wiring and with the connected equipment!
