HELPFUL HINTS
•
The blender has anti-slip feet to help keep it steady on your worktop. For added safety, always keep your
hand on top of the blender lid whenever it is running.
•
When working with dry/solid ingredients, cut them into small pieces and always add some liquid.
•
Let soups, sauces and cooked foods cool to room temperature before blending.
•
For crushed ice, add just a few cubes at a time, with a small amount of water.
•
Solid or thick ingredients may need scraping down from the jug sides with a spatula. Remember to switch
off and unplug the blender first. If the mixture is difficult to process, add a little liquid or select the pulse
feature.
•
To avoid overheating, do not run the blender for more than 1 minute at a time. Let the motor rest for a few
minutes before continuing.
CARE AND CLEANING
•
Wash before first use in hot, soapy water and dry.
•
Always switch off and unplug the blender before cleaning.
•
Remove the lid, then lift the jug off the power unit and empty the contents.
•
Carefully remove the blade unit from the base of the jug by turning it clockwise. Please use caution when
doing this as the blades are very sharp. The jug, lid, filler cap, blade unit and sealing ring can all be washed
in warm, soapy water, or in the dishwasher. Please use a washing-up brush to protect your fingers from
the sharp blades.
•
Rinse all parts thoroughly, and dry.
•
Fit the sealing ring back over the blade unit, then fit the blade unit back into the jug by turning it
anticlockwise until it is thoroughly secured in place.
•
Wipe the power unit with a dry cloth.
•
Do not immerse in water or any other liquid, and do not use abrasive cleaners or scourers as they will
damage the product.
