5. LaCie LaCinema Premier Remote Control
Some of the buttons of the remote control have dif-
ferent functions or no function at all depending on the
type of file you are viewing. This chapter discusses the
button functions for each type of file (movies, photos
and music) and battery installation.
5.1. Battery Installation
The remote control uses two AAA batteries. The
batteries are not pre-installed, so you will need to install
them before you can use the remote control.
To install the batteries:
Remove the battery compartment cover.

Load the batteries onto the battery compartment.

Position the batteries so that the “+” symbols on the
batteries face the same direction as the “+” symbols
on the battery compartment.
Slide the battery compartment cover back into the

If you will not be using
the remote control for an extended period of time,
we recommend that you remove the batteries.
