Safety
Body Safety Prop
Safety props prevent heavy body parts from moving inadvertently.
The body safety prop ensures that an
empty body will not lower when you are working underneath it.

Setting the Body Safety Prop
To set the body safety prop:
1. Make sure that there is enough clearance above the body to raise it safely.
2.
Start the engine and engage the hydraulic pump (see Figure 2 - 5).
3. With the Body Up switch on the in-cab control panel (see Figure 2 - 8), raise the body until the
safety prop is clear to be tilted under it.
Danger!
Always set the body safety prop when performing maintenance underneath a raised
body. Failure to do so may result in severe injury, or even death.
