Installing a Yoke Locking Bolt

OTE
:
It is important to perform this procedure after a pump replacement or a pump drive shaft
replacement.
To install a yoke locking bolt, do the following:
1.
Locate the hole on the yoke and the hole on the drive shaft (see illustration below).
2.
Place the yoke on the shaft as illustrated above.
The yoke must be fully engaged on the shaft with both holes aligned (one hole over the other).
3.
Apply Loctite 243 (medium strength) to bolt threads and insert the bolt firmly into the holes to
properly secure the yoke to the shaft.
4.
Install a steel wire on the yoke bolt (the wire must be fixed tight around the bolt) [see Figure
14].
