3.6 Troubleshooting
3.6.1
Windows does not start
Try to start Windows in Safe mode.
Run ScanDisk to check for errors on your hard disk.
Reinstall Windows, if the other options fail. If you install over the old
version, your settings and programs will be retained.
If you do not get any picture on screen when Windows should start or if you
receive an error message regarding unreliable memory, you should have
your computer repaired by a qualified technician.
3.6.2
Software serial number
After starting the measurement program, a message like
‘Software serial
number 9703
48<>SN key #@*}))’ is displayed.
Check if the software serial number, indicated on the diskette label is the
same as your system serial number. If not, contact your LABORIE
representative for new software.
Check if the USB key is connected to one of the USB inputs on the
computer.
3.6.3
Computer does not start
Check if the switch on the safety module is on.
Check if the computer is switched on.
Check if the power cable from the computer to the safety module
is connected.
Check if the power cable between AC-wall socket and safety module is
properly inserted.
Replace the fuses of the safety module.
Contact your LABORIE representative.
