Loading And Unloading Labware
To load plates when a run is in progress or to conduct maintenance, you need to manually unlock the AmbiStore or MicroServe
storage module from the dual robot cell. To do this:
1. Press the storage module
Unlock
button.
Tempo places the storage device in an Offline state so you can access and load or unload labware. The Tempo protocol
continues running until it needs to access the storage device. At that point it pauses and waits for the you to close and
lock the door before resuming. Actuating doors between the storage devices and the robot cell close . The system remains
in operation but does not attempt to access the Offline storage device.
2. Manually unlock the three storage module latches and open the door.
3. Rotate the storage device freely to load and unload plates.
4. To continue operation, close the door and lock it using the latches.
5. Press the
Lock
button.
Note:
Once the system doors are locked, the actuating doors open allowing the system to access the storage device and
continue protocols.
