sor. The Store Manager Processor gathers audio data from the Audio Compressor,
packetizes the data, and saves the data into the flash memory contained in the
Crash Survivable Memory Unit (CSMU).

Memory
The Acquisition Processor interfaces with three internal functional modules: Aircraft
Interface, Audio Compressor, and CSMU. Additionally, is an external interface to the
Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
(1)
Aircraft Interface
The Aircraft Interface (AI) Interface involves the following external power inputs
and outputs:
(a)
External power input +39 Vdc storage supply, +15 V, and +5 V (storage)
from the Aircraft Interface PWA.
(b)
External power 18 V preamp power, +5 V, and

12 V to the Air-
craft Interface PWA.
(2)
Audio Compressor
The Audio Compressor (AC) Interface consists mainly of the Time Division Mul-
tiplexing (TDM) bus. Audio data is transmitted by the AC via the TDM bus to
the Store Manager Processor (SMP). Additionally, an 8.192 MHz clock is out-
put to the AC to be used as the time base for audio sampling. AC Reset and
