Table 8-6 NCW RX Burst Tab
Control/Indicator/Function
Description
Reference FOW
Source Name
Name of the NC Terminal transmitting these bursts.
FOW Acquisition (ACQ)s
This is a count (since the last reset) of the number of missed FOW bursts
along with the number of expected FOW bursts.
FOW CRCs
This is a count (since the last reset) of the number of FOW bursts with
CRC errors along with the number of expected FOW bursts less the
number of missed FOW bursts.
FOW SNR (dB-Hz)
This is the current measured SNR of the FOW burst.
AROWs and DCOMs
Source Name
Name of the Terminal transmitting these bursts.
AROW ACQs
This is a count (since the last reset) of the number of missed AROW
bursts along with the total number of attempted AROW acquisitions. Note
that a Terminal that is NM only is not required to successfully receive all
AROW bursts; therefore, AROW Acquisition Statistics are not displayed
for NM only Terminals.
AROW CRCs
This is a count (since the last reset) of the number of AROW bursts with
CRC errors along with the total number of AROW CRC validations. Note
that a Terminal that is NM only is not required to successfully receive all
AROW bursts; therefore, AROW CRC Statistics are not displayed for NM
only Terminals.
DCOM ACQs
This is a count (since the last reset) of the number of missed DCOM
bursts along with the number of expected DCOM bursts. Note that
Terminals do not receive their own DCOM bursts but may receive their
own AROW bursts.
DCOM CRCs
This is a count (since the last reset) of the number of DCOM bursts with
CRC errors along with the number of expected DCOM bursts.
FOW Thresholds
FOW Acq %
These operator-defined thresholds determine when the HCI changes the
background color of the Acq field. Yellow is the warning level, red is the
critical level. The number entered is the percentage of bursts missed.
FOW CRC %
These operator-defined thresholds determine when the HCI changes the
background color of the CRC field. Yellow is the warning level, red is the
critical level. The number entered is the percentage of bursts in error.
FOW SNR
These operator-defined thresholds determine when the HCI changes the
background color of the SNR field. Yellow is the warning level for low
SNR, red is the critical level for very low SNR. The number entered is the
SNR in Db-Hz.
AROW/DCOM Thresholds
AROW Acq %
These operator-defined thresholds determine when the HCI changes the
background color of this field. Yellow is the warning level, red is the
critical level. The number entered is the percentage of bursts missed.
AROW CRC %
Same as previous.
DCOM Acq %
Same as previous.
DCOM CRC %
Same as previous.
