STARTING SIMULATED CVR MODE
This procedure is only performed in order to start the PI in Simulated CVR mode.
BEFORE power is applied to the PI unit, the following procedures must be performed.
CONNECT the auxiliary power cable to the end of the recorder interface cable, which origi-
nates at the top of the PI unit.
CONNECT the auxiliary power cable to an inactive 28 to 39 VDC power source.
DEPRESS AND HOLD the Select and Up Arrow buttons on the PI and apply power to the
unit.
RELEASE the Select and Up Arrow buttons when the Main Menu appears on the PI dis-
play.

CHANGING SCREEN CONTRAST
This procedure may be performed in any of the PI’s operating modes. This procedure can
be performed while on the Main Menu only.
INCREASE the screen contrast (darken the screen) by positioning the highlight over the
top entry on the menu. While the highlight is positioned on the top entry, press the up ar-
row key. The contrast adjustment occurs in small increments, so the up arrow key may
need to be pressed multiple times to obtain the desired adjustment.
