Assuming that the FDR is locked onto a stream of input flight data, placing the cursor on FDR:
Word Monitor in the Main Menu and pressing SELECT brings up the Word Monitor Menu
(Figure 6
− 2) on the PI front panel display. This screen displays 4 rows of the selected 16-bit
word contained in 4-bit segments in Subframe 1 through Subframe 4. Each Subframe display
can be set to OCT (Octal), Decimal (DEC), Hexadecimal (HEX), or OFF mode by setting the
cursor on the mode tag (at the right hand side of each display row) using the up and down ar-
