5.3.8.5.3 Start/Clear Tags
After the File ID Is Entered, the user should move the cursor (using the DOWN arrow key
repeatedly) to highlight the START tag and then press SELECT to start dumping the Fault
Log to the disk location selected at the File ID Entry Field. After this function is accom-
plished, the PI screen automatically returns to the Main Menu.
Note also that from the START tag, the user can press the UP Arrow key to access the
CLEAR tag. If the user presses SELECT when the CLEAR tag is highlighted, the entire
File ID entry field will be blanked.
5.3.8.6
Dumping Trace Messages To The PI Disk
Trace Messages provide information (in near real time) on the functions being performed
by the recorder. To dump Trace Messages to the PI disk, access the Special Functions
Menu, highlight TRACE MESSAGES and press SELECT. Select a File ID at the next
menu and press START to start dumping a Trace Log to the PI Disk. (The CVR can be
recording while this function is being performed.) Trace Log Dumping can continue until
there is no more disk space. Press Menu at any time to stop the function. Trace Log file
names are identified by .TRC file extension.
CAUTION:
WHILE PERFORMING ANY FUNCTION ON THE PI, DO NOT RE-
MOVE THE DISK OR POWER FROM THE PI.
