3.4.5

Playback/Control Menu

This menu is similar to the Monitor Menu and can be accessed from the Playback Menu by
pressing the Red Key.  The operator can enter it while playback is underway without interrupt-
ing the audio being played back.  The operator can turn the various channels on or off in the
same way as described for the Monitor Menu (paragraph 3.3).  Volume control operation is
identical to that described for the Monitor Menu.

The user can return to the Playback Menu from this menu by positioning the highlight over the
word BACK and pressing the SELECT key.  While at this menu, the user can press the green
key and return to the Main Menu.  Highlighting FILE and pressing the SELECT switch brings
up the CVR File Control Menu.  (Note:  for a shortcut from the top right of the menu to FILE,
press left arrow key.)

CVR File Control Menu

The CVR File Control Menu enables the operator to identify each file and select it for Playback
or for copy to the disk mounted in The PI.  As shown in Figure 3

The operator can select the particular file of interest by using the DOWN cursor position key to
access the next file, or using the UP cursor key to access the previous file.  The words PLAY,
COPY, and BACK are displayed on the bottom line of the CVR Control Menu.  When the oper-
ator selects PLAY, the File Playback Menu is displayed.  When COPY is selected, a File ID
Menu is selected.  When BACK is selected, the display returns to the Playback Control Menu.
 

3.4.6.1

File Playback Menu

When PLAY is selected at the CVR File Control Menu, The File Playback Menu is displayed on
the screen.  As shown in Figure 3

Playback Menu with the exception that the ID of the file selected at the CVR File Control Menu
is displayed on line 1.   The keypad keys are remapped as shown on the File Playback Menu.
This remapping is identical to that described for the Playback Menu, Paragraph 3.4.1.  The
operator can perform all of the playback functions on the selected file.  The MODE, POSI-
TION, ROTOR, and GMT displays are  identical to those described in Paragraph 3.4.2.

3.4.6.2

Copy Menu Entry (Copy)

When the operator selects COPY on the CVR File Control Menu, A File ID Selection Menu Is
displayed on the PI screen.  The user cannot enter this menu unless a disk drive is in place at
the PCMCIA slot in the bottom of the PI.
