Enabling User Login Administration
This enables user login administration. Select one of the following authentication methods:

Configure the settings.

Select [
Local Authentication
] or [
Network Authentication
].
Select [

] to disable user login administration.
If you select [
Network Authentication
], select [
NTLM
], [
Kerberos
] or [
Ext.
] as the server
type. In addition, enter the domain name (256 characters or less) and default host name
(256 characters or less) for the Authentication Server.
Select [
Add/Edit
] to enter the domain name. The domain registration list appear. Select
[
Add/Edit
], and enter the domain name. Up to 10 domain names can be registered.
When selecting [
Ext.
] as the server type, enter the port number.

Local Authentication
User authentication based on user properties on the local user list
stored in the machine.
Network
Authentication
User authentication based on Authentication Server. Use a user property
stored in Authentication Server to access the network authentication login
page.
NOTE
If the login user name entry screen appears during operations, enter a login user name
and password, and select [
Login
]. For this, you need to login as an administrator or as a
user with privileges to carry out this setting.
The factory default login user name and login password are set as shown below.
NOTE
• If two or more domains are registered, select [
Default Domain
] and select the default
domain.
• Checking "Use Multiple Authentication Server" allows you to register a primary server
and a secondary server for each domain. Once this setting is done, network
authentication will be done in the order of a primary server and a secondary server
registered in the specified domain at the time of log-in.
• The network authentication will be done to the server set as [
Default Host Name
]
before the primary server set for each domain.
