6.1 Configure a descriptive name for each ASM
(optional)
On the mTenna Plus web-based user interface, the connected ASMs are referred to as “ODU 1,” “ODU 2,” etc. You can
configure a more descriptive name for each ODU to aid in relating the displayed metrics to the physical installation. To
configure an alias for an ASM, do the following:
1.
connect to the mTenna Plus via SSH (10.0.0.1, username 'kymeta' and using key provided).
2.
Use the following command:
$ sudo qdhostconf.sh <asm#> [IP addr] [alias] asm# is the ASM to configure (asm1,
asm2, asm3, or asm4)
IP addr
- is the IP address of the ASM (as configured in 4.1)
alias
- is the descriptive name of the ASM

Restart the mTenna Plus for these changes to take effect.
