8.12. VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT
The correct valve clearance changes with use, resulting in
improper fuel/air supply or engine noise. To prevent this, the
valve clearance must be adjusted regularly. This adjustment
however, should be left to a professional KYMCO service
technician.
8.13. FRONT BRAKE PADS
The clearance between the brake pads and brake discs is
adjusted automatically as the pads wear. The only
maintenance that is required is to replace brake pads when
they become worn. To check the thickness of the brake pads
use this procedure.
1.
Remove a front wheel.
2.
Measure the thickness of each brake pad. If the
thickness of less than 1.0mm (0.039in), take your ATV to
a KYMCO dealer to have brake pads replaced.
3.
Reinstall the wheel and tighten the lug nuts to 61N-m.
