16.9.1 Transfer of the internally stored images to a USB stick
The device must be in ground state (eventually terminate with ESC a measurement or a process). Start procedure with
MODE
> Memory > Export Screenshots > USB.
The device creates appropriate files depending on the number of occupied memory locations. For the screen copy the
file name HARDCOPY_xx.BMP is used. For microscope screenshots MICROSCOPE_xx.BMP is preset. The xx is a sequen-
tial number. The device will not overwrite any existing files on the USB stick.
After successful transmission to the USB stick a message on the screen "Screenshots transferred, memory locations
cleared..
16.10 Activating software options
Software options can be activated by entering an 8-digit key code. You can request the individual key code for each
option from the manufacturer.
MODE
> Settings > SoftwareKeys takes you to a submenu, which currently only offers
the constellation diagram option.
To activate this option, confirm the menu item with ENTER. An entry field for the 8-digit key code is then displayed.
If the code is entered correctly, the following message appears:
Option activated!
Now the corresponding option is
enabled for use..
16.11 Display MER or C/N
The signal quality in baseband can be displayed as MER (Modulations Error Rate) or as C/N (Carrier to Noise). The values
between MER and C/N differ only about 0.16 to 0.39 dB depending of the roll off factor r.
MER[dB] = C/N[dB] + 10 log(1−r/4)
You can switch between MER and C/N via
MODE
> Settings > MER<>C/N. This setting remains also after a new start.
