40 Power cable selection
8.1.2 New Sub-D power connector
(Only applicable for new Sub-D power connector).
The BDU is delivered with a 1.5 m power cable; this can be extended according
to the recommendations below:
The BDU is equipped with an internal 15 A Fuse, therefore no external fuse is
necessary in order to protect the BDU. However, in order to avoid short circuit
in the power cable/connector, the ships DC outlet should be protected by a 15-
20 A fuse or circuit breaker.
