Setting the rotors
The quality of the crop pickup is affected by the rotor pitch setting and
the working depth.
To ensure a good crop pickup, the rotors are inclined transversely to
the chassis ex works. However, the optimum setting depends on the
soil condition and on the type of crop.
The optimum raking quality is achieved when the tines in the front
working area have the lowest possible ground clearance before the
crop is deposited (see adjacent illustration).
