Follow Lock Out Tag Out Procedure, see “Lockout Tagout Procedure” on page 1-10.
Turn “OFF” the AIR and ELECTRICAL SUPPLY and Lock Out Tag Out, before working
in the cutter head area. Loosen the collet in the spindle holding either ½” wood or metal bits,
using the wrenches included with the DL-2. Use the 7/8” wrench on the spindle flats just above
the pulley, and the second wrench on the top hex. Unscrew the draw bar by turning it counter-
clockwise. After you have given it about three turns, no more than 1/8” at a time, tap the top hex
with a soft faced mallet to break loose the collet within the taper.
When replacing the bit, insert it into the collet deep enough to ensure your cutting surface is above
and below the door-skin when cutting with the reciprocator turned on. Once you have determined
that it is in the proper distance, tighten the draw bar in a clockwise direction until the collet is snug
in the arbor.

Swing the lock bore template into place.

With cutter in the up position, place bit into collet loosely.
3.
Push cutter head over lock bore template and adjust cutter bit so it clears the tem-
plate and reducing ring by 1/16”.

Tighten collet securely.
