External MIDI Processors
Another class of equipment that will complement your Stage Piano is a MIDI
Processor. This is typically a standalone, programmable box although MIDI
processing software for computers is also available. Among other things, these devices
do the following:
¥ MIDI channel remapping
¥ Zone multiplication
¥ Note pitch transposition
¥ Note velocity remapping
¥ Controller redirection and remapping
¥ Arpeggiation
¥ Inputs for additional pedals, sliders, knobs, and ribbons
¥ Setup storage for itself and attached devices
¥ MIDI signal routing
