Working with the HR 600/2 unit
6.5.1.4 Database assistant
To work with the HR 600/2 unit, the [ErsaHRData] database is required. This data-
base contains the user data, profiles and process records. The database must be set
up on an SQL server. To access the database, you must be logged in as an Adminis-
trator.
All server and database settings have already been made ​​when commissioning the
HR 600/2 unit; with regard to this, please read the chapter Starting HRSoft and set-
ting up the database connection manager [

45]. Should it be necessary to make
changes to these settings, you can use the [Database assistant]. It is recommended
to use an SQL server on a network drive and transfer the database there. This data-
base can then be used simultaneously by multiple users of the HR 600/2 unit. For
any questions about the regular backup of the database, contact your network ad-
ministrator. You can also back up the database manually. With regard to this,
please read Chapter Database administration and maintenance manager [
} 98].
