Working with the HR 600/2 unit
6.5.2.4.3 Adjusting gradients in the [Profile setting] tab
Now adjust gradients to your requirements. The temperature gradients stored in
the [Template profiles] have been identified in test series and fit the most common
rework processes.
ü
To adjust gradients:
a) Enable the [Profiles] tab in the [Profile settings] window.
ð
The [Profile settings] window is displayed.

b) With the horizontally arranged sliders you can change the times from [time 1]
to [time 4]. With vertically arranged sliders you can change temperatures from
[Tinit] and [T1] to [T3] to the [time 1] times to [time 4].
ð
[Tinit] = Temperature from which the process is automatically started.
In the display panels next to and below the sliders you can read the values
set, or directly enter your own values. During setting, observe how the
gradient changes.
The green Kelvin values are displayed in red when the HR 600/2 is unable
to reach the requested temperatures in the requested time.
Please note that the components should not be heated as quickly as pos-
sible; in fact, a uniform temperature distribution requires a slower heating
process. This increases the safety level of the process
c) In the [TL] field, set the temperature in [°C] at which the solder used becomes
liquid (Liquidus Temperature). The optional RPC camera can help you determ-
ine the [TL].
d) In the [Tpipette] field, set the temperature in [°C], at which during the desol-
dering process the pipette moves down, picks the component and reaches its
park position.
