6.3 Firmware Update
In the following sections you can learn how to update the firmware of your gateway component.
You will need:
– Windows PC
– Gateway component
– LAN cable
– FTP software (e.g. Filezilla)
Configuring Network
To access the FTP server, you must create a network configuration. For this example, we will use
these settings:
– Network 192.168.1.0/24
– IP address Windows PC 192.168.1.1
– IP address GW-ProfiNET-TPS-1 192.168.1.10
Configuring the IP address (Windows PC)
a) Click on "Start".
b) Select "System Control".
c) Click on "Network and Sharing Center".
d) Click on "Change adapter settings".
e) Right-click on the desired connection.
f) Select "Properties".
