9.2.1.7 Handling and storage
9.2.1.8 Exposure limits and personal protective equipment
9.2.1.9 Physical and chemical properties
Handling:
Store in a dry place at room temperature in tightly sealed con-
tainers. When using the product, avoid the formation of oil mist
if at all possible.
Storage:
The product can be kept for at least 5 years in the original,
unopened containers under the specified storage conditions.
If the lubricant is to be used at higher temperatures, suitable
fume extraction or adequate ventilation must be provided in the
place of work.
The standard safety precautions used in the mineral oil industry
are to be observed.
Protective measures
Hygiene measures:
Keep away from food, drink and tobacco products. Wash hands
before breaks and at the end of work. Store work clothes sepa-
rately. Change contaminated clothing. The usual precautions
when handling chemicals must be observed.
Respiratory protection:
Not necessary if used correctly for the intended purpose. Avoid
breathing in vapors (oil mist).
Hand protection:
In the case of prolonged or repeated skin contact, wear protec-
tive gloves (e.g. made of latex, wearing time > 30 min.; butyl
rubber, wearing time > 8 hours).
Eye protection:
Not necessary if used correctly for the intended purpose.
