Adjusting the fertiliser drop point
Changing the drop point sets the working width and adjusts it for various types of
fertilisers.
Check the setting of the drop point at the start of each season and also during the
season if uneven spreading is noticed.
The fertiliser drop point is set above the upper end of the scale.
Figure 28:
Checking the fertiliser drop point
Checking
1.
Set the fertiliser drop on point to
position 6
.
2.
Remove both outlets together with their brushes at both openings.
3.
Release both plastic levers (agitator drive) and slide downwards until the
splines of the agitator are showing.
4.
Run a thin piece of string around the
rear
(on the side away from the tractor)
on the splines of the agitator shafts and tie off so that it remains tight.
The triangular mark on the base plate must be aligned to the string.
If this is not the case then the drop point must be readjusted.
NOTICE
The fertiliser drop on point must be set to the
same
position on both sides
of the machine. Always check both sides.
