Maintenance

Coolant hoses and hose clamps - check

   

Open the engine compartment cover (page 154).

Open the side cover (page 155).

Inspect condition (cracks, bulges, hard spots) of all coolant hoses 
(1) on the engine and to the radiator or to the heater fan, and ensure 
that they are tight and the clamps (2) are securely fastened. If nec-
essary, have the hoses replaced by trained personnel.

Close the side cover.

Close the engine compartment cover.

Carry out the inspection while the engine is cold.
