transport
When driving on the road, the machine must be in the transport
position. The following steps are necessary to set the machine to the
transport position:
Remove any crops and coarse dirt.
Fold up the machine
Ensure that hydraulic connections are correct
Before folding up the machine, make sure that the hydraulics for
the folding device are correctly connected to a double-acting
control valve. Wrongly connected hydraulic lines can trigger
unpredictable movements of the machine.
No persons within the folding area
While the machine is being raised, no persons must be present
within the folding area. Otherwise, they may be caught by the
machine and injured.
Observe the contour of the terrain
Move the machine onto ground that is as flat as possible before
changing from work to transport position. Avoid inclines on which
the combination (tractor and machine) could slip or overturn.
There is an increased risk of tipping and injury in a position at right
angles to the direction of the slope.
Keep the rear window closed
Always keep the rear window of the tractor cab closed when
folding. During the folding procedure, an open rear window can be
irreparably damaged.
Machine must be fully folded
Never drive with partially raised side devices. The machine could
tip over, particularly on hillside locations. Persons may be injured
by the machine.
Check the transport stowage points
Before transportation of the implement, check that the side
devices are safely stowed in the transport stowage points (visual
check). Incorrectly stowed side devices could swivel out during
transportation and cause accidents.
