Disconnect the negative (minus) cable of the battery.

Measure the current between battery ground (

) and the negative cable.

The value of the open-circuit current applies only to vehicles in the original
state, i.e. without additional power consumers.

» If the measured value is higher than the specified value:

Disconnect the voltage regulator from the wiring harness and perform the
measurement again.

Remove the cover from the starter relay.

Pull the starter relay off of the bracket.

Measure the resistance between the specified points.
