If the engine is switched off with the emergency OFF switch and the ignition remains switched on
using the RACE-ON button, the power supply to most power consumers remains unbroken. This dis-
charges the 12-V battery. You should therefore always switch off the engine with the RACE-ON button
–
the emergency OFF switch is intended for emergencies only.

Park the motorcycle on a firm surface.

Swing side stand forward with your foot as far as it will go and lean the vehicle on it.
–
Move handlebar fully to the left and press and hold the RACE-ON button (for at least 2 seconds).
The steering is locked.

If the steering lock does not engage, move the handlebar slightly.
