Position brake calipers.
The brake linings are correctly positioned.
–
Mount screws
5
on both brake calipers, but do not tighten
yet.
–
Operate the hand brake lever repeatedly until the brake lin-
ings are in contact with the brake disc and there is a pressure
point. Secure the hand brake lever in the activated position.
The brake calipers straighten.
–
Tighten screws
5
on both brake calipers.
Guideline
Screw, front
brake caliper M10x1.5x55 45 Nm (33.2 lbf ft)
Loctite ® 243™
–
Remove locking piece of the hand brake lever.

Position wheel speed sensor

in the hole.
–
Mount and tighten screw

Remaining screws,
chassis M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
–
Remove the vehicle from the center stand. ( p. 96)

Operate the front brake and compress the fork a few times
firmly.
The fork legs straighten.

Tighten screws

Preparatory work

Raise the vehicle with the center stand. ( p. 96)

Manually press the brake caliper toward the brake disc to push
back the brake pistons.
