If the engine stalls (e.g. at a crossroads), pull the clutch lever only and press the starter
button. You do not need to shift into neutral.

Switch off the engine if you expect to be standing for a long time.

If the
FI
warning lamp (
MIL
) lights up during a trip, stop immediately. When you shift to
neutral, the
FI
warning lamp (
MIL
) starts to flash.
Info
From the flash rhythm you can deduce a two-digit number, the so-called blink
code. The blink code tells you which component is affected by a fault. (Your
authorized KTM workshop will be pleased to help.)

Applying the brakes

Reduced braking efficiency due to wet or dirty brakes.

Clean or dry dirty or wet brakes by riding and braking gently.

Reduced braking efficiency caused by spongy pressure point of front or rear brake.

Check the brake system and do not continue riding. (Your authorized KTM workshop will be glad to help.)

If the foot brake lever is not released, the brake linings drag continuously. The rear brake may fail due to overheating. Take your
foot off the foot brake lever when you are not braking.
