NOTE
Take care not to damage to coating when lowering the can into the foundation.

The sole plate has been installed and horizontally aligned as described above.

The foundation bolts have not been grouted yet.
1. Thoroughly clean the inside of can 151. If required, tilt the can with the aid of
the hoisting tackle to tip out any foreign particles.
2. Place can 151 on a clean and level surface and position the lifting accessories
appropriately to hoist the can in vertical position.
3. Slowly lower can 151 into the opening provided.
4. Align can 151 accurately.
5. Install can 151 on sole plate 893 and fasten it with screwed connection
902.12/920.12.
6. Check the alignment. The accuracy must be < 0.3 mm/m (0.0388 inch/foot).
Compensate any deviations by means of shims.

Grouting the sole plate

The sole plate and can have been mounted and aligned as described.
1. Grout the holes of the foundation bolts with non-shrinking concrete. Strength
class C 25/30, particle size < 5 mm / 0.197 inch to DIN 1045.
Produce flowability with the help of a solvent.
2. As soon as the grouting compound has set (refer to the manufacturer's
information on duration), tighten the nuts of the foundation bolts to the torque
indicated in the general arrangement drawing.
3. Fit concrete shuttering for the sole plate and the foundation pedestals up to the
planned grouting height (see general arrangement drawing).
4. Completely grout all areas surrounding the sole plate with non-shrinking
concrete. Strength class C 25/30, particle size < 5 mm / 0.197 inch to DIN 1045.
Produce flowability with the help of a solvent. Complete the grouting process
without any major interruptions.
5. Compact the grouting compound to avoid cavities.
