Etanorm V
1228.87/01-EN
To prevent high temperature increases in the motor and excessive loads on the
pump, coupling, motor, seals and bearings, do not exceed 10 starts per hour [h].
CAUTION
Re-starting while motor is still running down
Damage to the pump (set)!
▷
Do not re-start the pump set before the pump rotor has come to a standstill.
6.2.3 Minimum permissible speed
CAUTION
Plain bearing is overloaded
Damage to the bearings!
▷
Never use a speed of less than 800 rpm.

6.2.4.2 Density of the fluid handled
The power input of the pump set will change in proportion to the density of the fluid
handled.
CAUTION
Impermissibly high density of the fluid handled
Motor overload!
▷
Observe the information about fluid density in the data sheet.
▷
Make sure the motor has sufficient power reserves.
6.2.4.3 Temperature of the fluid handled
CAUTION
Evaporated fluid washes lubricant out of the bearing
Damage to the bearings!
▷
Never exceed the fluid temperature of 95 °C.
▷
The fluid temperature must remain at least 5 °C below the boiling point.
6.2.4.4 Abrasive fluids
When the pump handles fluids containing abrasive substances, increased wear of the
hydraulic system and the shaft seal are to be expected. In this case, reduce the
commonly recommended inspection intervals.
