Operation
3.1 General information
The short-cut feeder wagon must be adjusted to the
tractor being used (see Appendix A
“Inital hitch up“)
If the tractor is changed, the following adjustments
must be checked and carried out again if necessary.
•
Height of tow-bar
- see Page
A - 2
•
Length of articulated shaft
- see Page
A -5
•
Adjusting the hydraulic system
- see Page
V - 1
and

3.2 Special safety instructions
As well as the general safety instructions, additional safety instructions apply when using the short-cut feeder
wagon.
• The following applies to all maintenance, assembly, repair and adjustment work being
carried out: Shut down the machine, switch off the engine, remove the ignition key and
secure the tractor and short-cut feeder wagon from rolling away.
• During operation, keep to an adequate safety distance from all moving parts on the short-cut
feeder wagon. This especially applies to the pick-up device for the pressed material. Only
remove blockages from this device when the power take-off shaft is switched off and the
engine is shut down.
• No one must remain within the discharge area or the area where the rear flap swings open.
During maintenance, assembly or repair work inside the short-cut feeder wagon or on the
scraper floor, thoroughly secure the wagon from being switched on. Shut down the engine,
remove the ignition key and switch off the electrical supply at the control box.
• If the situation becomes dangerous, immediately switch off the power take-off shaft, shut
down the short-cut feeder wagon and bring it to rest.
• Never leave the short-cut feeder wagon running without any operating personnel being on
the tractor.
