2.4  Safety Barrier Dimensions

WARNING: A barrier designed to reduce the risk of burns from 
the hot viewing glass is provided with this appliance and shall 
be installed for the protection of children and other at-risk 
individuals.
If the barrier becomes damaged, the barrier shall be replaced 
with Hussong Mfg.’s barriers for this appliance. Only doors 
certified with the appliance shall be used. 

IMPORTANT: Consider the height of hearth finish material 
when building a fireplace platform. Proper installation of safety 
barriers with an overlap fit design require the bottom of the 
fireplace to be level with finished hearth. 

Please refer to 8.1 Safety Barrier Installation on page 27 for 
installation instructions.
