0–1A: Write Program
This command writes the edited program into the internal
memory.
If you wish to save a program, be sure to write it into mem-
ory. An edited program cannot be recovered if you do not
write it before turning off the power or selecting another
program.
1
Select “Write Program” to access the dialog box.
2
The upper line shows the bank and program name.
If you wish to modify the program name, press the text
edit button
to move to the text edit dialog box, and input
the desired program name.
3
In “Category,” specify the category of the program that
you are writing.
With the factory settings, the program categories have
been given the names of instruments etc., but you can use
“Program Cat.” (Global P4: 4–1) to modify these category
names. The category selected here can be used to find
this program when selecting a program in Program,
Combination, Sequencer, or Song Play modes.
4
Press “To Program” to specify the writing destination.
You can also use the BANK [A]–[N] keys to select a
bank.
It is not possible to write to banks G–g(d). If you have
edited a program from banks G–g(d) and wish to write
it, you must write to banks A–E or H–N.
5
To execute the Write Program operation, press the OK
button
. To cancel, press the Cancel button.
You can also press the SEQUENCER [REC/WRITE] to
write a program in the same way as “Write Program.”
Press the SEQUENCER [REC/WRITE] key to access the
dialog box, and write the program. In this case, the set-
tings will be written to the currently selected program.
❏
Auto Song Setup
The Auto Song Setup command automatically copies the
current program settings to a song and makes preparatory
settings for recording. Then you can simply press the
SEQUENCER [START/STOP] key to begin recording imme-
diately.
1
Select the program that you want to record.
If desired, edit the program. The edited settings will be
copied to the song, and you’ll be able to record/play the
edited sound in Sequencer mode. If you’re going to use
that sound only in that particular song, there’s no need to
write the edited program in Program mode.
2
Hold down the [ENTER] key and press the
SEQUENCER [REC/WRITE] key. The “Setup to Record”
dialog box will appear.
3

will automatically move to Sequencer mode, the pro-
gram settings will be applied to the song, and you will
automatically be in record-ready mode. The first unused
song will be selected automatically.

this command are the same as when you execute the

(Sequencer P0: 0–1L) with the following settings.

• “To” set to Track 01
• “Arpeggiator” set to A
