Location
Using the unit in the following locations can result in a malfunction.

Power supply
Be sure to turn the power switch to OFF when the unit is not in use.
Remove the battery in order to prevent it from leaking when the unit is

Radios and televisions placed nearby may experience reception
interference. Operate this unit at a suitable distance from radios and
televisions.
Handling
To avoid breakage, do not apply excessive force to the switches or
controls.
Care
If the exterior becomes dirty, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. Do not use
liquid cleaners such as benzene or thinner, or cleaning compounds or
flammable polishes.

Keeping foreign matter out of your equipment
Never set any container with liquid in it near this equipment. If liquid gets

Using this device as a metronome
When using this device as a metronome, set the beat and rhythm.

Changing the metronome sound
The metronome sound (tone) on this device can be changed.

These setting will be stored in the device. However, the settings will not be
stored if the device is not turned off in the ordinary manner (such as when the
battery run out).
Synchronization
The count timing for two or more SyncDancing devices can be synchro-
nized. The SyncDancing device that drives the base tempo is called the
“master”, and the other SyncDancing devices that will follow that tempo
in sync are called “slaves”.
This device uses infrared communication when syncing with other devices.
Do not use the sync functions around other devices that use infrared light, or
around plasma TVs.

TIP
When synchronizing three or
more devices, connect the SyncDancing that will be the slave, as
shown in the diagram below., and press the SYNC button on the
master SyncDancing device.
Once the synchronization settings have been made, the slave SyncDancing’s
settings will be replaced with those of the master. (Except the Volume and Delay
settings.)
Synchronization will be canceled if the Tempo, Beat, or Song settings are
changed.
Muting the device
The song and metronome sounds can be muted.

To attach the device to your ear, open
the ear clip, place the round part near
the hollow part of your ear around the earhole, and
then close the ear clip.

As this a small and lightweight device, there is a risk
that small children may place it in their mouth and ingest it.
Keep the device out of reach and store it away from small children.
Inserting the battery
When inserting or replacing the battery, turn off the device’s power.
Make sure to observe the correct polarity.
Turning on the power

To turn on the power, hold down the MODE button until the
display lights.

To turn off the power, hold down the MODE button until the
display goes dark.
The entire display will blink if the battery has worn down. When this hap

pens, replace the battery as soon as possible.

Adjusting the song’s playback timing
You can adjust the amount of time (delay) that will pass before playing
back the song after the device is attached .

Set the delay time. The number indicates how many seconds will
pass before playback begins.
Setting the volume

Press the MODE button to display the Volume setting screen, and
use the jog switch to select the volume from

This device’s volume has been set to be a little loud, since it may be used
when practicing musical instruments.If the device seems too loud, fasten it to
your ear at a position slightly away from the earhole.
To protect your hearing, avoid using this device for long periods of time
