Play a note on a MIDI controller.
When selected, the parameters of the selected Key Range’s are shown at the top of
the window. The Key Range’s box and the range on the keyboard are both
hilighted in light blue, and the base key is shown in red.
NOTE:
For more information on MIDI input in the Multisample Edit window, see
“MIDI must be on the correct channel, within all key and velocity windows” on
page 37.
Deleting a Key Range
To delete a Key Range in the Multisample Edit window:
1.
Select the Key Range that you’d like to delete.
2.
Press the Delete key.
or
Select the Cut command.
or
Select the Clear command.
When a Key Range is deleted, the next highest Key Range is adjusted downwards
to
fi
ll the gap.
Changing the High, Low, and Base keys
You can change a Key Range’s High, Low, and Base keys in three ways: edit the
numeric
fi
elds at the top of the window, drag the edges of the box above the
keyboard graphic, or use your MIDI controller.
Numeric editing
To change the High, Low, or Base Key numerically, simply edit the desired
parameter at the top of the Multisample Edit window.
When selected, the High, Low, and Base Key parameters also respond to MIDI
input.
Graphic editing
To change the High and Low Keys graphically:
1.
Move the cursor over the edge of a Key Range.
2.
When the cursor changes to a double-arrow shape, click and drag the edges
of the Key Range as desired.
To change the Base Key graphically:
1.
Click on the Base Key (shown in red) on the graphic keyboard.
2.
While holding down the mouse button, drag the key to a new location on
the keyboard.
3.
Release the mouse button to assign the new Base Key.
