Resource Monitor

OASYS PCI

Resource Monitor

To process and synthesize audio, the OASYS PCI uses DSP and host (PowerPC) 
processing power, DSP and host memory, and DSP busses. This page can give you 
an idea of how much of these resources are being used. 
The Resource Monitor can display either a summary or a detailed report, as set in 
the Preferences window (described on page 114).

Host Processing

Average Load. 

This shows the average load on the host CPU.

Peak Load. 

This shows the maximum load on the host CPU.

Engine Memory. 

This shows the amount of RAM used by the OASYS PCI Engine.

Editor Memory. 

This shows the amount of RAM used by the OASYS PCI Editor 

program.

DSP 1-5

Summary view

If the Preferences window Resource Monitor parameter is set to Summary, this 
section of the window will simply display one meter for each DSP. The meter gives 
a basic estimate of the amount of resources used on the DSP, combining all the 
measurements described under Detailed, below.
