with this, the “Drum Kit IFX Patch” setting will be reset
to the default setting.

IFX-All
is checked, the
Bus Select
setting of the copy-
source program will be copied. If the copy-destination
timbre
Bus Select

automatically be set to L/R. If you check
IFX-All used
,
the routing will be automatically set to match the copy-
source program.

ARP/DRUM settings for the copy source will also be
copied.
When on (selected), the ARP/DRUM settings of the copy
source program will be overwritten with the current
ARP/DRUM settings.
In COMBINATION mode, the “Output Ch” for each
arpeggiator will be set to the MIDI channel of the timbre
configured in step 5, and “Thru By ARP Switch Off” will
be set to “On” (selected).
Also, the drum program settings for the copy source

program’s copy destination will be used.

Edit Program
This command, available on the Home– Mixer page in
COMBINATION mode and the Home– Mixer page in
SEQUENCER mode, allows you to edit a Program from
within a Combination or Song, while still hearing all of the
other Timbres or Tracks.
To do so:
1. Go to the Home– Mixer page in COMBINATION
mode, or the Home– Mixer page in SEQUENCER
mode.
To edit a Program in context, either:
2. Select any parameter in the column of the Timbre or
Track which contains the Program you’d like to edit,
and then select the Edit Program command from the
menu.
You can select any parameter in the Timbre/Track’s column,
including Volume, Pan, Status (Combinations only), and
Program Bank/Number.
or:
2a.Hold the ENTER button, and then touch the
Program’s name in the Timbre or Track.
The display will automatically switch to the Home page
for the program at this time, and either “COMBINATION
> PROGRAM > Home” or “SEQUENCER >
PROGRAM > Home” will be displayed at the upper left.
This means that the program is being edited in
COMBINATION or SEQUENCER mode.
3. Edit as desired.
Eventually, if you want to keep your changes, you’ll need to
Write the Program. However, while you’re working, you can
go back and forth between the edited Program and the
Combination or Song.
You’ll notice that some Program pages and tabs will be
grayed out; for more information, see “Parameters
unavailable while editing in context,” below.
To return to the Combination or Song:
4. Press the EXIT button until the PROGRAM > Home–
Overview Mix Balance page appears, and then press
EXIT once again.
To go back to editing the Program, just repeat steps 2 or 2a,
above.
The normal rules of editing apply: if you select another
Program, all edits to the previous Program will be lost. So,
make sure to save your work:
5. While on the Program edit pages, use the Write menu
command to save your edits.
Note that you must be on the Program edit pages in order to
Write the Program edits. Writing the Combination or Song
will not affect the Program.
If you Write the Program to different bank/number, the
Combination Timbre or Song Track selected in step 2 or 2a,
above, will be updated to reference the new location. In this
case, if other Timbres or Tracks use the Program, they will
not be updated automatically (since you may want them to
continue to play the original Program); you can change them
manually if desired.
