Installation Procedures
To install the EBC2 proceed as follows:
1. Ensure that the safety requirements indicated in chapter 3.1.1 are observed.
2. Ensure that the board is properly configured for operation before installing.
3. Ensure that the associated E²Brain™ module is properly installed on the EBC2.
4. Assemble the EBC2 within the application system as required. See appropriate system
documentation for assembly procedures.

Removal Procedures
To remove the EBC2 proceed as follows:
1. Ensure that the safety requirements indicated in chapter 3.1.1 are observed.
2. Disassemble the EBC2 within the application sub-system as required. See appropriate
system documentation for disassembly procedures.
3. Dispose of the EBC2 as required observing applicable environmental regulations govern-
ing the handling and disposition of this type of product.
Warning!
Failure to comply with the instruction below may cause damage to the
board or result in improper system operation. Please refer to chapter
4 for configuration information.
Note...
Care must be taken when applying the procedures below to ensure
that when the board is assembled along with the other application
system components that it is not damaged through contact with the
other components of the system.
Warning!
The EBC2 is designed for use only with E²Brain™ modules
that comply with Kontron’s E²Brain™ specification. Use of any
other type of E²Brain™ module with the EBC2 will result in
improper operation and possibly cause damage to the
E²Brain™ module as well as the EBC2.
Warning!
Care must be taken when applying the procedures below to
ensure that when the board is removed it is not damaged
through contact with other components in the system.
