USB Host Interface
The AM4011 supports one high-speed, full-speed, and low-speed capable USB 2.0 host port to
via the 5-pin Mini USB type A connector on the front panel. This connector allows connecting
standard USB peripheral devices to the AM4011 via an adapter for Mini USB type A to USB
type A connectors.
The following figure and table provide pinout information on the Mini USB Type A connector, J2.
The following figure illustrates the adapter required for connecting standard USB devices to the
AM4011. For further technical or ordering information on this adapter, please contact Kontron’s
Technical Support.

The AM4011 USB host interface can be used with maximum 500 mA continu-
ous load current as specified in the Universal Serial Bus Specification, Revi-
sion 2.0. Short-circuit protection is provided. All the signal lines are EMI-
filtered.
