<Port descriptions>

Port 1 (For the LAN)
Connect the network cable to the LAN.

Port 2 (For the COPIER)*
Use a crossover cable to connect to the LAN port of 
the copier.
* This port is not used, depending on the connec-

tion method. Refer to page E-9.

III. Installation procedures

1. Turn off the copier and unplug the power cord 

from the power outlet.

2. Remove the cover shown in the illustration from 

the back of the copier. (Ten screws)

3. Using nippers, remove the knockout shown in the 

illustration from the copier.

4. Remove the cover shown in the illustration form 

the copier. (One screw)

5. Remove the plate shown in the illustration from 

the copier. (Two screw)

6. Remove the plate shown in the illustration. (One 

screw)
