8.10 Using Two Machines in Tandem: Tandem Mode 8

Ordinary copying operation is still available on the Partner MFP during the tandem mode setting.

Select the desired copy conditions on This MFP.

Enter the desired print quantity on This MFP.
When a print quantity amount of 100 is entered, This MFP and Partner MFP will each output 50 sets.

Print quantity must be set for two or more copies to perform the tandem mode printing.

If an odd number of sets is specified for output, one extra set will be delivered to This MFP.

Position the original on This MFP.

Press Start on the control panel of This MFP.
[Tandem S] will be displayed in the lower right corner of the screen of Partner MFP.
The tandem mode will be released automatically when the tandem mode printing is completed, and
[Tandem M] for This MFP and [Tandem S] for the Partner MFP will disappear.
NOTICE
Each output tray has a limit in capacity. Be careful not to exceed the limit, otherwise unexpected trouble
may be caused.
8.10.3 Cancelling the Tandem Mode/Printing
This section describes how to cancel the tandem mode printing.

Reference
The following procedure is used to cancel all the operations of tandem mode printing. To cancel the operation
on the Partner MFP only and continue on This MFP, see page 8-66.

Press Stop on the control panel of This MFP.
The scanning/printing job stops immediately, and a confirma-
tion dialog appears on the screen of This MFP. At this time, the
tandem mode is not yet released.

Press [Cancel Job].
All the scanned data will be cleared completely to release the tandem mode/printing.
