2.8 Selecting the Simplex/Duplex setting
The following four Simplex/Duplex setting combinations are possible.

Note
"1>2" is available if the optional duplex unit has been installed.
"2>1" is available if the optional ADF has been installed.
"2>2" is available if the optional duplex unit and ADF have been installed.
The following procedures describe how to select Simplex/Duplex settings.
Simplex/Duplex settings Description
1 > 1 Select this setting to produce single-sided copies from single-sided originals.
1 > 2 Select this setting to produce one double-sided copy from two single-sided
originals.
2 > 1 Select this setting to produce two single-sided copies from one double-sided
original.
2 > 2 Select this setting to produce double-sided copies from double-sided origi-
nals.
