
7 - MAINTENANCE
Every 200 hours
Cutter bar - oil change
NOTE:
Use
SAE 85W-140
or an equivalent gear oil to
maintain the cutter bar oil level.
The approximate oil capacity is:
• For SB 2005:
3.2 L
(
0.8 US gal
) .
• For SB 2405:
3.6 L
(
1.0 US gal
)
• For SB 2805:
3.6 L
(
1.0 US gal
).
1. Run the implement for a minimum of
10 min
to warm
up the oil. At the same time the impurities mixes with
the oil and are removed when you change the oil.
2. Set the header to minimum tilt.
3. Raise the header and engage the header lift lock valve.
4. Remove the guide shoe
(1)
on the left-hand side of the
cutter bar.
NOTE:
The removal process is the same if the implement
is equipped with the high guide shoes.

5. Support the cutter bar with wooden blocks.
• At the left-hand side, place a
203 mm
(
8 in
) block
(2)
under the second skid shoe from the end.
• At the right-hand side, place a
356 mm
(
14 in
) block
(3)
under the first skid shoe from the end.
NOTE:
The Figure
2
shows the cutter bar as viewed from
the front, looking rearward.
6. Position an oil catch pan
(4)
under the drain plug.
7. Disengage the header lift lock valve and lower the
header onto the blocks. To properly drain all of the oil,
the right-hand side end of the cutter bar should be
